Like most of life’s journeys, one doesn’t usually start out on a single path without any sort of deviation. My story, like most, has had its starts and stops, it’s ups and downs and its fair share of challenges to bring me to where I am today.
After graduating from Queen’s University, I spent four years battling significant health issues that granted me a new perspective on life. I am reminded of how fortunate I am on a daily basis, and channel that positivity into my work, my life, and my passions.
For me, working and creating with my hands is a passion. For as long as I can remember it has never been a skill-set that I have had to labour over. I grew up in a family, which for generations has had an aptitude for craftsmanship. My great grandparents owned and operated a hardware store on Spadina Avenue in downtown Toronto, my grandfather a carpenter, and my father built Formula 1 cars back in the 1960’s for the first ever North American team to compete on the Formula 1 circuit. Through years of experience and “lessons learned” building and creating with my hands is a passion that I have come to love and enjoy.
